Applications of the Enneagram in the professional world are becoming more numerous each day. Here we only address those that we ourselves practice with our clients.

The first professional field of application for us was leadership. Philippe Halin has been using the Enneagram since 1993 for in-depth, experimental seminars (LeaderTrip and LeaderStep) as well as in university teaching.

Development coaching has been in high demand for a number of years. The increased number of areas of competence needed to be a good manager today makes it necessary to develop all one’s thinking, feeling and instinctual abilities: the Enneagram is a perfect tool for this.

Teamwork is no longer based to any great extent on hierarchical relationships or functional specialisation: versatility being the order of the day, colleagues must frequently negotiate with each other on a daily basis, in order to achieve common and personal objectives. The Enneagram is a way of spotting differences and negotiating with impossible people!

Career guidance has been a specific application of the Enneagram since our research demonstrated the marked correlation between the reference tool in this area, Schein’s career anchors, and the Enneagram as measured by the HPEI. This is why a number of assessment and outplacement trainers currently come to us for training.

Training of trainers is a natural field of application for the Enneagram. Numerous trainers and coaches feel the need for a model and tools that go beyond the behavioural level and which can deal with people's deep drives and provide support for the changes they desire. We conduct training of trainers in companies and ourselves organise certification in the HPEI questionnaire.
